The indoor track & field season continued Monday for Coach Derek Merk’s Greene County girls’ team. The Rams were in Ames at the 25th Iowa State Girls High School Classic inside the Lied Recreation Center on the ISU campus.

The highest finish for the Rams was by senior Megan Durbin in the high jump. She tied for fourth place at 5′ 2″ in a field of 63 jumpers. There were three other top 30 finishes for the Rams including the sprint medley relay, which covers 800 meters. Greene County was 19th in 2:02.61 among 77 total teams. There were 112 girls in the shot put and freshman thrower Brooklyn Olson was 28th with a best toss of 32′ 3-1/4″. Long jumper Janelle Brophy, a junior, was twenty-ninth at 14′ 3-1//4″.There were 94 girls in the long jump.

Coach Chad Morton’s Greene County boys go to the Lied Center today for indoor competition. Both Greene County teams travel to Storm Lake on Saturday for an indoor meet on the Buena Vista University campus.
