This Thursday, the next program in the Perry Lutheran Home’s Aging Well Lunch and Learn series will be offered, this time focusing on depression.

The event will teach attendees about recognizing the signs and symptoms of depression in elderly family members, which is often misdiagnosed and undertreated. The featured speakers include Nicole Kehoe, a Clinical Social Worker with Lutheran Family Service, and Wanda Pritzel, a Clinical Social Worker and Director of Philanthropy with the Perry Lutheran Home. Both women have several years of experience in working with adults as they go through the stages of aging.

The program will include free depression screenings for attendees. The Lunch and Learn will start at noon on March 22nd at the Spring Valley Assisted Living Campus, located next to Dallas County Hospital. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are encouraged. For more information or to register, call or email Pritzel at 515-465-5342 or Wanda.Pritzel@PerryLutheranHome.org.
