ADM Tigers

The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls golf team started official practice March 12 with two returning letter winners on the roster. ADM assistant golf coach Bob Hall says the criteria for receiving a letter in high school golf is by participating in 80 percent of the team’s meets in a given season. Hall told Raccoon Valley Radio Tuesday that the pair of athletes who fulfilled the letterman criteria last spring are senior Emily Neumann and junior Morgan Wagoner. Coach Hall adds both girls have varying degrees of strengths on the golf course. “I think with Emily (Neumann), her strength is her chipping and putting game,” Hall said, “With Morgan (Wagoner), she’s great off the tee, and she is really good on the green also, she putts well.”

Neumann and Wagoner both represented ADM in six-nine hole and five-18 hole events last season. Wagoner posted the best averages on both types of rounds, carding less than 57 shots in nine-hole competitions and just over 111 strokes for 18 hole tournaments as a sophomore. Neumann averaged completing nine-hole meets in just over 61 strokes, and 18 hole venues in under 127 shots. The ADM girls golf team opens their season Saturday, March 31, in a multi-team tournament at the Warrior Run Golf Course in Norwalk.
