Tuesday, March 13th

12:20pm: An officer escorted a male to a residence to retrieve his belongings in the 300 block of South Wilson Avenue.

10:37pm: As a result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Wilson Avenue, Jordan Teeples (18) of Jefferson was issued a citation for Improper Registration Plate Lamp. During the traffic stop, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After searching the vehicle, the officer located a plastic baggy on the floor that contained suspected marijuana. The evidence will be sent to the Carroll Police Department for testing.

11:17pm: Jennifer Schiltz reported being followed by a vehicle in the 500 block of East Lincoln Way. It was determined the suspects in the vehicle were playing Pokemon Go and were not intending to follow her.

11:27pm: An officer received an abandoned 911 call in the 500 block of West Mahlon Street.

11:27pm: An officer checked on a 911 Hang Up Call in the 500 Block of Mahlon Street. The officer made contact with a female who advised of a verbal argument with her boyfriend. She was leaving the residence for the evening and did not need further assistance.

Wednesday, March 14th

7:24am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 100 Block of West Washington Street, resulting in Venessa Cayler of Farnhamville being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

8:59am: The Webster County Sheriff’s Office advised of a male, possibly in Jefferson, who had an outstanding Webster County Arrest Warrant. The officer located the subject at 412 West McKinley and placed him in custody for the warrant. Keith Allen Long, 50 of Dayton was wanted for, “Possession of Controlled Substance/Meth – Serious.”

10:49am: A Traffic Stop in the 300 Block of West Madison Street resulted in Patricia Perez of Perry being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”

11:25am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

12:37pm: An officer removed a feral cat from a live trap in the 200 Block of South West Street.

2:12pm: Mike Prevost reported the Theft of floor mats from his vehicle at 902 North Elm Street. He had laid the mats just outside the wash bay to dry as he washed his vehicle. The officer was able to view surveillance video from the business and developed a suspect. The officer later spoke to the suspect, who admitted to the theft. The officer is gathering a request for an Arrest Warrant for Paul Nelson, 43 of Jefferson for, “Theft 5th Degree – Simple.”

4:45pm: An officer assisted a female who was locked out of her residence at 1126 McDuffie Drive. The officer was able to gain entry.

5:15pm: Paul Hostetler turned a Debit Card he found in the 100 Block of North Wilson Avenue into the LEC. The officer is attempting to return the card to the owner.

Thursday, March 15th

2:26am: An officer located an Open Door at 808 North Vine Street. He secured the business.

7:20am: A Traffic Stop in the 1400 Block of Westwood Drive resulted in Andrew Golay of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

7:39am: A Traffic Stop performed in the 1400 Block of Westwood Drive resulted in Bryant Jason of Bayard being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

10:10am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

11:41am: A Funeral Escort was performed by an officer.

11:30am: Pat Harrah advised of receiving a Scam Letter. The letter advised that a distant relative had passed in Canada and left her 6.9 Million Dollars. There were directions to call to obtain the money. Harrah knew this to be a scam and did not call the number provided.

2:08pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1400 Block of Westwood Drive resulted in Rodney Blackmon of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

4:46pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 300 Block of East Lincoln Way Street, resulting I Jessica Carhill of Madrid being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

5:18pm: Sheryl Peterson reported an Open Door at 206 North Wilson Ave. The officer called a contact for the building, who secured it.

6:54pm: Susan Herrick requested a Welfare Check on her animals at 407 South Olive Street.
