7:12am: An officer removed a feral cat from a live trap in the 600 Block of Rush View Drive.

8:24am: An officer spoke to officials at the Greene County Middle School, concerning a parent’s comments about a teacher on Social Media.

8:35am: The Peony Restaurant reported the Theft of a TV and Satellite TV Box from 101 East Lincoln Way Street. The officer is investigating.

11:42am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

1:04pm: A caller advised of a Careless Driver heading into Jefferson from the south on Hwy. 4. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver about the complaint.

1:38pm: Connie Simons reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading into Jefferson from the west. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver about the complaint.

2:34pm: An officer removed a feral cat from a live trap in the 600 Block of Rush View Drive.

4:27pm: An officer assisted a motorist with vehicle issues in the 100 Block of West Lincoln Way Street.

5:52pm: Lisa Aldrich reported receiving unwanted letters from a subject incarcerated at Oakdale. The officer spoke to command staff at the prison to end the unwanted contact.

5:45pm: Justin Durlam dropped off a wallet at the LEC that he had found at 104 West Washington Street. The officer returned the wallet to its owner.

11:22pm: An officer located an Unsecured Door at 901 North Elm Street. The officer was able to secure the business after checking inside.

Saturday, March 10th

12:19am: Ellen Ritter reported someone knocking on her door at 204 North West Street. The officer arrived in the area and located a young male in the area, who had found a stray dog. The officer returned the animal to the owner and gave a time period to become compliant with City Animal License Ordinances.

1:24am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 300 Block of South Elm Street, resulting in George Byerly of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”

2:33am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 700 Block of East Lincoln Way Street, resulting in Douglas Long of Grand Junction being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

6:17am: Scott Brackett reported Criminal Mischief to his residence at 702 North Cedar Street. He provided a suspect to the officer, who is investigating the event.

6:48am: An officer removed a feral cat from a live trap in the 600 Block of Rush View Drive.

9:30am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call at 1000 West Washington Street.

11:05am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

5:44pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 200 Block of North High Street.

9:07pm: Velazquez Smith reported a female standing beside a vehicle at 1207 North Elm Street, who was drinking a bottle of alcohol and yelling at children in the van. The officer was given the description of a gray van with a back window broken out. The officer did not locate the vehicle at that time near Fareway. A few minutes later officers observed a van meeting the description given at Sparky’s, which is located at 606 Hwy. 30 East. The officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle outside the business. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Amber Marie Benavides, 25 of Grand Junction for, “OWI 1 st Offense – Serious, Disorderly Conduct – Simple, Operation without Registration – Simple, Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability – Simple, Failure to Have a Valid Driver’s License – Simple, and Fraudulent Use of Registration – Simple.”

9:55pm: Abby Binkley reported a possible Intoxicated Driver in Jefferson. The vehicle in question was found to be parked at a residence in town.

10:47pm: A caller advised of two subjects sitting in the street at Monroe and Olive Streets. The officer made contact with a couple in the middle of the Street in the 500 Block of South Cedar Street. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Amanda Jo Goodpaster, 30 of Missouri, for, “Public Intoxication – Simple, and Disorderly Conduct – Simple.” During the Booking Process, Goodpaster assaulted the officer and a deputy. She was charged with One Count of, “Assault of Person’s in Certain Occupations – Serious, and One Count of, Assault of Person’s in Certain Occupations Causing Injury – Aggravated.”

Sunday. March 11th

4:33am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Lane.

6:36am: Casey’s reported a vehicle parked in the parking lot at 508 North Cedar Street, which is blocking the Handicap Parking spot. After numerous attempts to reach an owner of the vehicle, the officer had the vehicle towed from the area.

8:09am: An officer removed a feral cat from a live trap in the 600 Block of Rushview Drive.

11:29am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of Ram Drive.

9:08pm: A caller advised of receiving a message on Facebook that her husband had assaulted her and she needed help at 1107 North Maple Street. The officers arrived as the male was barricading himself in the garage. The investigation led to the arrest of Chad Lee Ferguson, 45 of Jefferson for, “Domestic Abuse Assault 3rd or Subsequent Offense – D Felony, Interference with Official Acts – Simple, and Obstruction of Emergency Communications – Simple.”

Monday, March 12th

2:09am: Cassie Bellcock reported a violation of a No Contact Order after she had received emails from Kaleb Lents. Cassie was the protected party in the No Contact Order with Kaleb listed as the Defendant. As a result, Arrest Warrants have been requested for Kaleb Lents (23) of Scranton for Violation of a No Contact Order – Simple Misdemeanor.

7:11am: Charles Heimer reported finding a bottle of urine on his property in the 900 block of North Cedar Street.

9:54am: Jennifer Schiltz reported a dog barking in the 800 block of West Harrison Street.

2:45pm: Todd Muir reported a driving complaint in the 700 block of North Wilson Avenue.

3:53pm: Jennifer Schiltz reported an aggressive Pitbull running loose at the intersection of East Lincoln Way and Cedar Street. Upon arrival, the officer located the dog and it attempted to bite his leg. The dog was deemed Vicious and the owner, Jason Sheldahl, as was informed of this.

3:55pm: An officer responded to the 100 block of East Washington Street for a male and a female involved in a verbal argument. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with Chris and Beth Laurent. The officer learned Beth had an outstanding Greene County Arrest Warrant out for Domestic Abuse Assault – 1st Offense. Beth was placed under arrest and transported to the Greene County Jail.

5:17pm: Janice Napolitano reported receiving suspicious phone calls.

6:50pm: An officer responded to 506 South Wilson Avenue or a domestic dispute. The officer spoke with Bradlee and Denise Beadle. During the investigation, the officer learned the argument started out as verbal and turned to physical. It was reported that Bradlee struck Denise in the face and slammed her head twice into a wall, causing a bloody nose. As a result, Bradlee Beadle (47) of Jefferson was arrested for Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury – 1st Offense – Serious Misdemeanor.

7:57pm: Kathy Morain reported losing her keys.

8:36pm: Jennifer Schiltz reported a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of East Lincoln Way.
