Perry Carnegie Library Entrance

The Perry Historic Preservation Commission and Hometown Heritage are teaming up to bring in historic photos of Perry, but they need the community’s help.

Anyone with old photographs of Perry are encouraged to bring them by the Carnegie Library Museum today and Sunday. Preservation Commission member Larry Vodenik has a collection of historic Perry building photos, and he’d like to add even more to it. Additionally, Hometown Heritage Research Assistant Alissa Whitmore is wanting more photos for the Carnegie’s collection. If you’re open to sharing any historic photos, they can be scanned and added to Vodenik and Hometown Heritage’s collections, and you’ll be able to keep the original photos.

Vodenik and Whitmore will be collecting the photos today from 1-5 p.m., and then again on Sunday from 1-3 p.m.
