IMG_2186A house just north of Guthrie Center is considered a total loss after a fire Monday night.

According to Guthrie County Dispatch, the fire started around 6:30pm at 2041 190th Road. The homeowner, Jennfier Bates, entered the residence after returning from a track and field meet, and got out immediately after seeing smoke and flames. No one was injured and Fire Chief Dave Embleton tells Raccoon Valley Radio there will be no further investigation as to the cause of the fire. The home is owned by Will and Jennifer Bates. The Guthrie Center, Bayard, and Panora Volunteer Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
