A graduate of Adel-Desoto-Minburn Community School is resuming her collegiate track and field career today in Arizona. The University of South Dakota (USD) Women’s Track and Field Team is opening their outdoor season at the two-day Baldy Castillo Invitational in Tempe, and one of the Coyotes sprinters is Adel native Karina Dufoe. Dufoe closed her recent indoor track season for USD with Summit League Conference honors in the 200-meter dash, placing third in the conference with a personal best time of 24.65 seconds. She also placed fifth overall in the league’s 60-meter dash final with a sprint of 7.68 seconds. The Coyotes outdoor schedule features a trip to Des Moines next month to run in the Drake Relays April 26-28. Dufoe was the 2015 Class 3A State champion in the 100 meter and 200-meter dash and holds multiple records for ADM Girls Track and Field.
