A Guthrie Center family displaced by a recent house fire will be the beneficiary of a local fundraiser. All proceeds from the annual Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center FFA Banquet and Pie Auction tomorrow will go to the Will and Jennifer Bates family.

The family was displaced from their home after a Monday evening fire left the home a total loss. AC/GC senior Hailey Bates, Will and Jennifer’s daughter, is a current member of the school’s FFA chapter, as were her older siblings. No one was injured in the fire, but most of their possessions were destroyed.

The banquet begins at 5pm with a meal at AC/GC High School. Panorama’s FFA Banquet is the following Sunday, March 25th at the Yale Community Center. The banquet begins at 5:30pm, with a silent auction to follow. All proceeds from that banquet will go toward ag scholarships.
