St Pats

If you’ve ever been interested in sending your children to St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Perry, tonight you’ll have an opportunity to see what the school is all about.

St. Pat’s is hosting an open house for all prospective students and their families, where they will show off everything they offer. Principal Eddie Diaz believes some parents may have certain ideas regarding the school, and he’s hoping the open house will better educate them about St. Pat’s. “One of the big misconceptions is that it is very expensive to send students there. There’s a lot of financial aid, we work with a lot of our families to send them there. There’s also a misconception on faith, what it is that we do with faith. And so, if you’ve ever had an inkling of what this is all about, I think this would be the opportunity to go there and get some of that family feeling that we think we have.”

Diaz adds, the event will also serve as a family night for current students, which will showcase events going on at the school. The evening will start at 5 p.m. with the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry, which will be free to prospective families.
