Perry School Board Special

The Perry School Board will convene Monday evening for their February regular session.

The meeting will begin with reports, including: Board Secretary Kent Bultman sharing key points and recommendations from the School Audit Report; Superintendent Clark Wicks giving an update on the Dewey Field Renovation promotional project; and instructional coaches sharing data and examples of ways they are collaborating with teachers. In general business, the Board will consider awarding bids for the construction of the Dewey Complex project to two general contractors.

Next, they will consider a bid for a bus purchase from Hoglund Bus Company. Other items on the agenda include: consideration of the June 2017 audit report; changes to the instructional and extra-curricular activity fees, which would raise the cost for textbook rental and admission to school musicals; revisions to Board policies; a request for an extended employee leave due to catastrophic occurrences; and an early graduation request.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in the high school’s Brady Library.
