Six Dallas County wrestlers will compete in the State Tournament this week at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Perry and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn are sending three wrestlers each to compete in the tournament, which starts on Thursday and concludes Saturday. The Perry wrestlers who advanced at the Class 3A District Tournament Saturday at Waukee include seniors Zachary Thompson, who placed second at 120 pounds, and Zach Stewart, who placed first at 138. Junior Kaleb Olejniczak, who placed first at 126 pounds, also qualified. Thompson’s first round match will be against sophomore Jeremy Ayala from Fort Dodge, Olejniczak will take the mat against sophomore Camden Baarda from Southeast Polk, and Stewart will face senior Sterling Brunk from Johnston.ADM Tigers

Meanwhile, the three ADM wrestlers who advanced at the Class 2A District Tournament at Harlan include juniors Andrew Flora at 113 pounds, and Nolan Harsh at 152, and sophomore Kaden Sutton at 220. Each ADM wrestler took first at districts. Flora will wrestle junior Coledon Bethel from Southeast Valley in the first round, Harsh will face sophomore Jared Shaw from Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, and Sutton will take on freshman Kobe Simon from West Liberty.
