Brenda Clark Hamilton will address area women specifically on the theme: “I Know I’m Supposed to be Wonder Woman, but I Don’t Have Any Bullet-Blocking Bracelets!”The event begins with a free lunch at noon, followed by the program at 1pm.

The Casey Public Library is a main partner for this event. Library Director Charlsie Dougherty explains the motivation behind the event. “We were addressed by a DHS (Department of Human Services) group, CPPC (Community Partnership for Protecting Children). They will address child abuse. One thing the Casey Library Board felt child abuse stems from is lack of communication. We will hopefully be able to empower the women of the community to be able to communicate their needs.”

The program is a light-hearted, interactive session designed to provide participants with strategies to help relieve stress and pressure. Reserving a seat is recommended, but not required.
