ADM Tigers

Tonight marks the final regular season home game this season for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys basketball team (3-15 overall) against a state-ranked opponent. The Norwalk Warriors (18-2 overall), Class 3A’s No. 4 squad from the Little Hawkeye Conference invades Adel tonight for their last regular season game of the season. ADM has won their previous two games against Little Hawkeye Conference opponents. The Tigers opened the season with a 63-61 come from behind victory against the Pella Christian Eagles (7-14 overall) on November 28 (record), and bested the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs (10-9 overall), 53-46, on January 16 on the road.

ADM closed their Raccoon River Conference season Friday with a 58-53 setback to the Boone Toreadors, clinching a winless league season. Senior Rylan Heffernan led ADM’s scoring attack with 15 points while senior Zach Ferguson added 10. Norwalk has won 18 of the 20 games they’ve played in this season, averaging 79 points scored per game. Warrior senior Luke Vaske is Class 3A’s top passer, dishing out 184 assists this winter. He’s also Norwalk’s leading scorer, pouring in an average of 19.5 points per game. The varsity game between the Tigers and the Warriors starts around 7:30 p.m. at ADM High School in Adel.
