West Central Valley Wildcat

The struggles against a county rival continued Friday night for the West Central Valley girls basketball teams (5-7 overall). The Wildcats played host to Class 2A No. 5 Panorama (12-1 overall) in their second West Central Activities Conference meeting of the season. The battle of Guthrie County schools went Panorama’s way, 68-28. The win was the 20th straight for Panorama over West Central Valley dating back to the 2009 regional tournament. The Wildcats were led in scoring by sophomore Sydney Neal with 11 points, while senior Grace Dupuy added seven points. Panorama senior Devyn Kemble scored a game-best 17 points to lead the Panthers to victory. The loss drops West Central Valley’s overall record to 5-7 while Panorama’s improves to 12-1. The Wildcats basketball teams resume their season Tuesday at home against the AC/GC Chargers.
