Today we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and with the holiday comes several closure notices.

Jefferson City Hall, Jefferson Public Library, Greene County Extension, and the Jefferson Post Office are all closed today. The library staff reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

City staff reminds residents that due to be holiday, garbage routes will be delayed by one day. All garbage routes will return to normal schedules the following week. Residents are reminded to have their garbage at curbside by 6am to ensure pick up.
