The West Central Valley School Board will meet in regular session tonight.

The Board will confirm the hiring of Lance Ridgely as the District’s next superintendent. Ridgely, a former superintendent, principal, curriculum director, and activities director, was chosen after meeting with selected district stakeholders. He will officially begin his duties as Superintendent after Dr. David Arnold retires in June.

Then the Board will hear a presentation regarding the grant writing process for a new press box and bleachers for the middle school. The Board will then continue their discussions on: a student, non-voting representative for the Board; the Athletic Director’s ability to serve as a head coach; and digital office suites. The Board will conclude the meeting by seeking formal action on: a modified allowable growth request, a van purchase, and the first review of the proposed 2018-2019 calendar.

The meeting begins at 7pm in the Dexter Elementary Library.
