Greene County is back in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference basketball tonight after being postponed due to weather last night at non-conference opponent Winterset. The Rams and Huskies will make up the girl/boy doubleheader in Winterset on Monday, Jan. 22. Tonight, it’s Nevada visiting the Rams in the middle school gym in Jefferson.

The Nevada girls are on a 12-game winning streak and are 12-1 overall and 8-0 in the HOIAC. The Rams are 2-6 in the conference and 5-8 overall. Senior Lexi Koudelka averages 24 points and 15 rebounds per game. The Cubs are ranked number six in Class 3A. Nevada was a 45-21 winner over Greene County in December.

The Rams won the boys’ game by five points the first time around, 60-55. Junior Trey Hinote scored a career high 28 points in the Greene County victory. The Rams are 6-2 in the league and 7-4 overall, while the Cubs are 4-4 in conference games and 5-7 on the season.
