Greene County, and the rest of the state, for that matter, is awaiting word on high school football districts for 2018-19. In a conversation with Raccoon Valley Radio, head coach Mitch Moore said he expects to know soon whether the Rams will be in Class 3A, where they have combined to win two games the last two seasons, or in Class 2A.

The coach added his thoughts about playing in a 2A district vs. 3A. “As long as I coach high school football, I don’t know, and this is certainly not an excuse, but I don’t know that I’ll ever have a schedule like last year. We played six ranked teams, and that’s not counting a Ballard (Huxley) team that I think would have beaten four of those six ranked teams by the end of the year. It was daunting, but our kids knew it going in, handled it, and certainly grew from its. It’s always our goal to win a District title, but if we’re 2A, I think it’s within our grasp in the next couple years to win a District title.”
