Perry School Board Special

The Perry School Board will convene Monday evening for their first regular session of 2018.

The meeting will start with a report from District science teachers who attended the National Science Teacher Association Regional Science Conference. In general business, Mike Murphy with Larson Engineering will give an update on the Dewey Complex improvement project. He will also propose the issuing of bid requests for the project. Next, the Board will consider a partnership opportunity with Wildwood Hills Ranch. The organization provides camps for underprivileged and at risk students at no cost to the District.

The Board will then consider two topics related to the School Budget Review Committee. The first is an application for administrative costs at the Woodward Day School for $9,919.45. The District has 10 students currently attending the Day School. The second is an approval for the Grandwood Consortium, which is a special education school serving students with mental and behavioral disabilities. Finally, the Board will consider revisions to Board policies, early graduation requests, and personnel changes.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school’s Brady Library.
