New Perry Farmers Market

What once was a possibility is now a reality, as the Perry Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a winter farmers market.

For two days only, the gallery of the Towncraft Building will be filled with an assortment of vendors. Chamber Board President Emily Leslie says while you won’t likely see everything you can find during the summer, there will be lots of great items. “The baked goods, the cinnamon rolls that you see during the summer’s farmers market that sell out instantly will be there for the winter’s farmers market. We’ll have the jewelry, we’ll have the collectibles, eggs, and some small plants as well that some of the farmers market vendors have started growing inside of their homes. So we’re excited!”

The market will be held on Friday and Saturday, February 9th and 10th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Leslie says it will run at the same time as the annual Chocolate Walk, which she hopes will increase attendance for both events. “There will not be a fee for you to attend the farmers market, but it will be going on the same time as the Chocolate Walk. So we really hope that, you know the people that are out and about shopping the community of Perry, supporting the Chocolate Walk, that they’ll shop at the farmers market too!”
