acgcThe ACGC Chargers and the Panorama Panthers met in a Guthrie County showdown on the hardwood Friday evening. The game was close throughout, but Malachi Peasly’s clutch three-pointer early in the fourth quarter helped the Panorama Panthers finish the night with a 50-40 win.

The Chargers were up by two at the end of the first quarter, but the Panthers took a nine point lead into the locker room, holding the Chargers to just five points in the second quarter. The Chargers came back in the third, scoring eleven of the frame’s 13 points and tying the game at 29. The Panthers got ACGC into foul trouble and used a 21 point fourth quarter to get their third win in the last four attempts.

Gracen Welberg led the Panthers with 16 points and Zac Rizzuti contributed 13 in the win. Bryce Littler led all Chargers with 11 points, while Caden Wardyn and Quynton Younker each had nine. The Panthers were assisted by Wardyn’s early foul trouble, who collected three fouls by the midway point of the second quarter. The Panthers now improve to 4-12 on the season, while the Chargers fall to 3-14. ACGC will head to Woodward on Tuesday to battle the Woodward Academy Knights.
