On Monday Stuart’s newest bakery, Linden Street Sweets, opened on the corner of Division and 2nd streets. Another new business opened Wednesday, just down the block. Midwest Outfitters Apparel, an arm of Midwest Senior Services, opened their shop on the ground floor of the Clock Tower building downtown.

The business specializes in graphic printing on medical scrubs and other clothing items. However, they can accommodate any business, non-profit, or group function. Owner Hayley Venard emphasizes the importance of using her business to benefit non-profit organizations. “We do care a lot about non-profits. That’s kind of part of my personal mission is to give back to the community. So any non-profit that comes in and has shirts printed from us, we write them a check back for ten-percent every time. That goes for clubs, churches, any non-profit organization that needs things printed for them.”

The shop will be open Monday-Friday from 9am-7pm and Saturday from 9am-2pm.
