A Jefferson man was sentenced to nine years of probation, after pleading guilty to five incidents.

Greene County Attorney Nick Martino says 27-year-old Dray Rivera pled guilty to a Class D Felony for third degree burglary, an aggravated misdemeanor for forgery, serious misdemeanors for harassment and theft and simple misdemeanors for harassment and trespassing. Rivera had his five-year prison sentence suspended for the felony charge and was placed on probation for three years. The other charges were to run consecutively with the probation for the felony. The sentencing was based on the information in the presentence investigation report, in which probation was recommended. All incidents happened between July and August.

Martino says Rivera was ordered to serve his probation in a residential correctional facility. Until a room is available, Rivera will be held in the Greene County jail. He was also ordered to pay victim restitution, law enforcement surcharges, court costs and court-appointed attorney fees.
