The Perry Jayette basketball team is hoping to play a turnover free basketball game tonight when they travel to Bondurant for a 6:00 varsity game with the Lady Jays.  The Jayettes are coming off a 63-30 loss to 5th ranked Boone Tuesday night.  Perry committed 18 turnovers unofficially in the lost to the Toreadors.

“That is an area we really need to clean up,” stated head coach Chris Morrow.  “I thought we had been doing a good job in that area the past couple of games but for some reason it flared back up tonight (Boone).”

Perry senior Alyssa Kruger has seen more time at point guard during the recent strong stretch of games.  The senior missed all of last season with shoulder surgery but is happy to be back running the show at point at times.

“I’ve always enjoyed ball handling and working on those drills.  I have played a lot of point guard through the years and its fun to be back this year healthy and trying to help the team win.”

Perry will play Bondurant Farrar in a doubleheader beginning at 6:00 with the varsity girls and the boys to follow.  Shawn Kenney will have the play by play on KDLS.
