Rashon Ivory is playing like a young man on a mission this season.  The three year starter is enjoying his best season in his final go around as a Perry Bluejay leading the team in points, assists and steals per game.  Ivory is averaging nearly 20 points per game while hitting an impressive 81% from the foul line.  He’s coming off a school record 44 point effort against Greene County right before the Christmas break.

“Rashon is playing at a really high level,” smiled head coach Dennis McDonnell.  “He has really put it all together this season and has become in my estimation one of the best point guards in the state if not the Raccoon River conference.  He is the quickest guard that I have ever coached when you look at his speed from free throw line to free throw line.  Sometimes our guys have trouble keeping up with him.  The key for us continues to be rebounding so we can get him out running like we want.  Its tough to do that when the ball goes through the hoop for the opposition.”

Ivory and the Bluejays travel to Bondurant tomorrow night for a 7:30 game against Bondurant Farrar.
