The 41st Annual Perry Chamber of Commerce Bike Ride to Rippey (BRR Ride) is the first weekend in February. Before then, the Chamber will be sending the BRR Committee to the annual Iowa Bike Expo in Des Moines.

Chamber Board President Emily Leslie says they’ve sent representatives to the event in the past, and they find it a great way to start spreading the word. They will be set up next to the Hotel Pattee and Raccoon River Valley Trail Association booths, and Leslie says it will be good to see the City of Perry so well represented at the expo. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what the committee will be doing at the event.

“So the BRR Committee members will be there, rotating throughout the day, just to tell people about BRR. To tell people about the trails in Perry. Just to help with that communication piece to the bikers that are going through that expo. We will be featuring some of our new merchandise for BRR, we have people that have been collectors for years and years. So we’ll have some new merchandise there, you can sign up for your BRR Ride that day as well. So we’re just really excited for it!”
