The cold of winter can sometimes be a bit oppressive, so opportunities to take your mind off it can be helpful.

With that in mind, the Perry Public Library invites you to attend a luau-themed party for the whole family they’re calling “Surf’s Up.” The library staff will help you imagine the warmth of the summer sun with some summertime activities and snacks. Hawaiian shirts are also recommended to get you in the mood. The event will be held this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s large meeting room. It’s designed for children ages 4-8, but all families are welcome to attend. There is no cost for the event, and registration isn’t required.
