acgcThe Guthrie Center School Board will meet in regular session Monday.

As West Central Valley prepares to name its next superintendent, the Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center School District is about to begin their search for current Superintendent Steve Smith’s replacement. Smith plans to retire after the 2018-2019 school year. The meeting includes a work session with consultant Jim Verlingia. Verlingia, the current Colfax-Mingo Superintendent, previously assisted West Central Valley with their superintendent search process.

The Board will also discuss a key fob rental fee for gymnasium and weight room usage. At the previous meeting, the Board suggested a $100 fee to include access to both facilities. However, Smith was concerned that there may be some security and safety issues associated with the access.

The meeting begins at 7pm in the High School Library and Media Center.
