Guthrie Center SignThe Guthrie Center City Council will meet in regular session Monday.

The main topic of discussion will be about renovation plans at Mitchell Park. The renovations include: restroom upgrades, a musical playground, a 9-hole disc golf course, a new pool house, a pedestrian trail, sand volleyball area, and resurfacing to the basketball and tennis courts. Project Designer Chris Bunde will update the Board on cost estimates to complete the renovations.

The Council will begin the meeting with a public hearing on the sale of the property at 207 North 7th Street. The Council reviewed two bids for the property at the previous meeting, with the high bid coming in at $1,500. Following the public hearing, the Council will seek for approval of a resolution disposing of the property. The Council will also review the following action items: emergency management alternates, Region XII Council of Governments funding, and the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library’s annual report.

The meeting begins at 6:30pm at City Hall.
