Greene County youth will have another unique opportunity for some winter fun at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson.

Jefferson Parks and Recreation Director Vicky Lautner says they are partnering with Art on the Fly for kids in kindergarten through 12th grade to do some painting. Participants will get to paint a winter-theme on a canvas to take home. It will take place on Monday, January 22nd from 1 to 2:30pm, when Greene County Schools aren’t in session. Lautner talks about the class that Jolleen Peters will lead.

“She usually has anywhere from 10 to 15 kids. The kids really seem to enjoy it. They’re doing something fun, they’re making something that they can take home. I just think it’s a great partnership with her to give kids the opportunity to do this.”
