GCDC 1_9The Greene County Development Corporation met Tuesday in regular session.

During reports, Greene County Supervisor Pete Bardole said the Supervisors will have another informational session on January 18th about tax increment financing (TIF). Also, Greene County Medical Center CEO Carl Bahne said they hired a new Chief Medical Officer and will have a new nurse practitioner starting in April with UnityPoint Clinic. Next, Jefferson Matters: Main Street Program Director Peg Raney reported that she is making contacts with downtown building owners that are interested in a possible second phase of the revitalization project. She also talked about doing an advanced market analysis with a recruitment team to attract new small businesses to the downtown district.

Finally, Executive Director Ken Paxton said GCDC is working with the Greene County School District on a new internship program with employers in the county.
