The City of Dexter has issued a boil advisory for all residents until further notice.

The City had a problem in its distribution system which caused it to lose pressure today. Due to the potential for bacterial contamination, city officials recommend boiling all tap water before consumption. The boil advisory includes rural addresses east on Old Highway 6, Bear Creek Road, and Del Rio Road, as residents in those areas have also experienced water outages. Once the boil order is lifted, the City will notify Raccoon Valley Radio and we will relay the information. Even after it’s lifted, the water department recommends you run your water for several minutes to purify your system.
