It’s no secret the Charger wrestling squad has been dominant throughout the season when it comes to the wrestlers in lower weight classes. The combined record for the top Charger wrestler in the lowest six classes is 93-23.

One of those six, junior Easton Benson, has returned from a brief injury spell. Head Coach Shawn Danker is happy to have him back. “We’re very pleased the way he performed on Saturday. As a whole, as you look at his progress from his injury where he left off to now, he’s picked right back up (and) is wrestling really well.”

The Chargers also hope to have Ben Kingery back into the lineup, and Spencer Grove join the lineup, to help fill out the upper weight classes. The Chargers were set to begin their dual week at Woodbine tonight. However, the tournament has been postponed due to the inclement weather.
