The high school basketball seasons for the Greene County girls and boys hit a bit of a snag with weather prompting school officials to cancel classes for today. That also means no activities today or tonight, so the Greene County basketball games scheduled for tonight will not be held. Greene County Activities Director Mitch Moore told Raccoon Valley Radio the basketball games in Winterset have been rescheduled for next Monday, Jan. 22. Those games will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.

There are two other games scheduled this week for the girls and three for the boys. Greene County is home Tuesday night with Heart of Iowa Activities Conference opponent Nevada in the middle school gym in Jefferson. It’s a trip to Gilbert for the Rams on Friday the 19th. Both are girl/boy doubleheaders. Saturday, Jan. 20 sees the boys play for the fourth time in six days when they meet Webster City on the home floor of the Lynx at 5 p.m. All the action can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
