ADM Tigers

The top long ranger shoot on the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls basketball team (4-8 overall) had a rough start to the new year. Junior Emma Jacobsen, who made 22 three-point shots in 2017, went scoreless on nine shots in ADM’s 49-24 victory against Bondurant-Farrar last Friday in Adel. Jacobsen followed up her worst offensive output of the season with one of her best. Fast forward four days to Tuesday when the ADM basketball teams visited Carlisle in the first conference road trip of the new year. Jacobsen, who broke ADM’s single-game three-point shots made record last month at Carroll with five made treys, made five more three-point baskets in the Tigers 57-54 setback to Carlisle.

Jacobsen’s three-point total is now at 27, three shy of the overall lead in the Raccoon River Conference. She isn’t bothered by playing on the road in Raccoon River Conference, making 14 three-point baskets in three league road games this winter. The ADM girls basketball team hits the road again tomorrow, traveling to Boone for a conference matchup against Class 4A No. 7 Toreadors (11-1 overall).
