As the high school wrestling makes its final push towards next month’s postseason run, one statewide publication has released another set of individual and team rankings. The Predicament released their third batch of rankings to the public late last week, and a pair of wrestlers on the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers wrestling team stayed in the top 10 poll.

Junior Andrew Flora continues to be the Predicament’s No. 2 wrestler at 113 pounds in Class 2A. He’s undefeated in 25 matches this season, adding three more wins to his total at this past weekend’s Gary Christensen Invitational at Winterset High School. Junior Nolah Harsh stayed as the publications No. 8 grappler at 152 pounds. Both Flora and Harsh are two-time state qualifiers with Flora finishing fourth in last years Class 2A 106 pound weight class.

The Raccoon Valley Radio Network spoke with Flora and Harsh over winter break about what it’ll take for the team to have a successful push towards the postseason. “We have to keep pushing each other in the room.” Flora said, “Pushing every teammate, work as hard as you can, it’s time to peak.”

Harsh adds it’s good to have tunnel vision entering the final weeks before the postseason tournament. “During wrestling season, I don’t have much of social life besides the wrestlers just because I know that’s what’s best for me.” Harsh said, “Just keeping the end in mind.”

The ADM wrestling team resumes their season this Saturday, hosting the annual Tiger Invitational. The event features wrestlers from Ames, Clarke, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Dallas Center-Grimes, Iowa City Liberty, Nevada, Red Oak, Roland-Story, Waukee, and West Central Valley. First matches are set for 10 a.m.
