An Adel woman was arrested Saturday afternoon on several drug charges.

Twenty-eight-year-old Alisha Ann Mills was arrested after being pulled over by Dallas County Sheriff’s Deputies at the Family Dollar store in Adel. Charges against her include: drug possession with intent to deliver, a class C felony; failure to affix a drug stamp, a class D felony; possession of contraband in a correctional facility, a class D felony; possession of a controlled substance – not marijuana – third or subsequent offense, a class D felony; driving while barred, habitual offender, an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Mills had her initial court appearance on Sunday, and is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail on $25,000 bond. Her preliminary hearing will be held on January 18th at 11 a.m. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it’s made official.
