acgcA new band festival will showcase more of Iowa’s high school bands. Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center’s concert band will participate in the inaugural All Iowa Concert Band Festival. The festival takes place at Johnston High School on Monday. While there, the band will perform for two judges, receive constructive feedback, and benefit from a one-on-one clinic. They will also watch other bands perform throughout the day.

This will be a non-competitive festival focused on learning from other bands and the judges. Over 20 bands from 18 different schools will participate in the event, including Greene County High School. The South Central Iowa Bandmaster’s Association sponsors the festival.
