West Central Valley Wildcat

A mixture of pinfalls and wins by forfeit helped the West Central Valley Wildcat wrestling team record three victories Tuesday. The Wildcats traveled to Audubon High School for a nonconference quadrangular against wrestlers from Audubon, East Sac County, and South Calhoun. The Wildcats returned to Guthrie County with three convincing dual wins.

West Central Valley competed in six contested weight classes against Audubon, earning 48 points via forfeits in a 66-16 triumph. Tye Joint (145), Carson Wadle (182), and Riley Algreen (195) all won their match by pinfall. The Wildcats tallied eight wins by fall and one by forfeit in a 54-27 dual win over East Sac County. Recording pinfall wins against East Sac County including Wildcat wrestlers Kiefer Wallace (106), Justin Garcia (126), Joint (145), Matthew Clark (160), Alan Wallace (170), Wadle (182), Algreen (195), and Zachary Custard (220). West Central Valley registered four pinfall wins and four more by forfeit in a 48-27 dual victory over South Calhoun. Garcia (126), Joint (145), Wallace (170), and Algreen (195) tallied wins by fall against South Calhoun.

The three dual wins push West Central Valley’s overall record to 5-2. The Wildcats resume their season Saturday in the West Central Activities Conference wrestling meet at AC/GC High School in Guthrie Center.
