christmasdecorOver the next couple weeks there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy holiday music around Guthrie County. The Stuart Saints Center will be providing one of those opportunities this weekend. The Saints Center will be hosting their 15th annual Holiday String Quartet Concert Sunday at 4pm. The informal concert features Des Moines’ Quartet 515. The quartet will play classic holiday selections as well as jazzy renditions of favorite holiday tunes.

Organizer and Stuart area native Tom Smull talks about the importance of using this and other historic buildings, to advance the Stuart community. “They literally can bring tourists to town. They also help us retain our heritage and our history. They’re valuable, important buildings that have been there since the beginning of the community. It’s important to maintain them and continue to use them.”

The concert is free and open to the public. Refreshments will also be served following the performance.
