Caring Christmas Food Drive

The Raccoon Valley Radio Caring Christmas Food Drive will continue next week, with several stops throughout the listening area.

The week will kick off Monday with the Little Big Red Radio at the Perry Lutheran Home’s Spring Valley campus from 3-5 p.m. The Big Red Radio will then be at the Adel Family Fun Center from 5-7 p.m., for an event dubbed “Strike Out Hunger.” On Tuesday, Big Red and Little Big Red will once again be out collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations, this time at Hometown Foods in Stuart from 10 a.m. – noon, and at the Jefferson Fareway from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. There will be three locations on Wednesday, starting at Greene County High School in Jefferson from 1-3 p.m., then the Perry Hy-Vee from 4-6 p.m., and finally the Stuart McDonald’s from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, we will have food drive stops at Tech Zone in Jefferson and the Adel Fareway, both from 3-5 p.m. The week will conclude with stops Friday at Hometown Foods in Panora from 10 a.m. – noon, and the Jefferson A&W from 1-3 p.m. At each location, the Big Red Radios will broadcast live while accepting donations for the food drive. Anyone who donates food or money will be entered for a chance to win $1,000 from Raccoon Valley Radio’s Christmas Cash drawing.
