Panoramas girls basketball team has a home none conference game against Martensdale Saint Marys this Thursday in Panora.

The Panthers are rolling. After Tuesdays 52-33 bruising of Conference rival Earlham, They have accumulated a four-game winning streak and hold a 5-1 record. Now in first place, The Panthers stand head and shoulders above the rest of the West Central Conference.

Standing head and shoulders over almost every player in the state of Iowa regardless of Class or Conference is Junior Bailey Beckman. She leads all scorers in Class 2A with 127 points over just six games. As if the Panthers Offense couldn’t get any scarier, Beckman is only one-third of the most dangerous trio in class 2A. Second in the conference in scoring is Senior guard Devyn Kemble, averaging 15.8 points per game. Rounding out the Panthers offense is Junior Morgan Johnk, who is currently fifth in the conference, averaging 10.8 Points Per game.

Quietly putting together a very productive season outside of point production is senior Kellie Prince. Prince has 16 assists, and 8 steals this season, while only committing 6 turnovers herself.

Martensdale Saint Mary comes into the contest with a 2-2 record. Their last game was a 61-26 drumming of Wayne. Opening tip is scheduled for 7:30. The two J.V Squads will also be in action starting at 6 pm.
