The Jefferson Police Department is investigating an incident where several gunshots were fired.

According to the department’s press release, officers responded to the call just before 9:30pm Sunday in the 100 block of South Pinet Street. Several gunshots were allegedly fired from the suspect. No one was hurt in the incident, but a vehicle was damaged by the gunshots and then the vehicle fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
