The Greene County basketball teams host Roland-Story (Story City) tonight in the middle school gym in Jefferson. When the boys’ teams meet, both the Rams and Norsemen will be looking to improve their shooting percentage, especially from three-point range. Through three games, the Rams are just 15 of 60 on three-point shots for 25%. R-S isn’t much better at 26%, and they’ve taken 118 shots beyond the arc in five game, and made 31.

Overall, the Rams are shooting 46% from the field, so Coach Chris Nelson’s team has made nearly 58% of its two-point shots. The Norsemen are only at 32.9% from the field, so they’ve struggled from two-point range as well, hitting on 38.9% of attempts. The two teams are close in free throw percentage, with Greene County at 25 of 38 for 65.8%, while R-S is at 61%, making 36 of 59 foul shots. Greene County is scoring more points per game at 64.7 while R-S is at 46.2 per contest. The Rams are 2-1 overall and in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. The Norsemen are 2-3 on the season and 1-2 in the league.
