ADM Tigers

Six games into the 2017-18 campaign and the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls basketball team (1-5 overall) is among the best rebounding teams in Class 4A. The Tigers eclipsed 200 total rebounds as a team in Monday’s 62-23 victory over the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders (0-6 overall). The Tigers are one of six teams in Class 4A basketball with more than 200 rebounds entering competition Tuesday night. League play continued last night with ADM as the Raccoon River Conference leader in total rebounds (203), defensive rebounds (112) and offensive rebounds.

The Tigers success on the boards has been a collective effort with eight players recording at least 10 rebounds. Sophomore Delaney Bertman is the team leader with 34 total rebounds, the eighth most recorded in the Raccoon River Conference. Bertman and junior Emma Jacobsen are tied for the team lead with 15 offensive rebounds apiece. Sophomore Abbie Hlas and junior Rachel Hardy have each registered 28 total rebounds this winter. Jacobsen has 24 total rebounds, and junior Anna Kenny has corralled 20 rebounds.
