operation christmas childTwo holiday programs are once again helping assist Stuart area communities and beyond.

The 25th Annual Sarah’s Holiday Caring event is now accepting applications to receive toys, books, and clothing items for Christmas. Applications are available at the following locations: The Stuart Herald, Stuart First State Bank, West Central Valley Schools, and city halls in Stuart, Menlo, Dexter, and Redfield. Forms must be returned to the Herald by Monday November 27th at 5 pm. Items will be available for pick-up at the Stuart Skating Rink/American Legion Building Wednesday, December 14th at 5:30 pm.

First Congregational Church in Stuart will also be collecting for the Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox project, “Operation Christmas Child.” The project provides underprivileged children around the world with shoe boxes filled with gifts during the holiday season. The church will be collecting items next week, with the deadline on November 19th.

Monday-Friday (11/13-11/17): 4-6 pm

Saturday (11/18): 9-11 am

Sunday (11/19): 9-noon
