Some offices and businesses are closed today in Jefferson in observance of the Veterans Day holiday today.

The Greene County Courthouse and Jefferson City Hall are closed. The Jefferson Public Library, the Jefferson Post Office and all banking businesses will be closed tomorrow. Library staff reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Also on Saturday, a few area restaurants are offering free meals for current and veteran military individuals. Jefferson Hy-Vee is offering free breakfast from 6 to 11am for all current and veteran military individuals and their spouses. A&W is offering free combos with a valid current military or veteran identification.
