Six Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers senior football players garnered postseason honors from coaches around the district. All the teams inside Class 3A District 7 have been eliminated from playoff competition, and former ADM head football coach Mike Whisner released the group’s first and second team all-district selections to Raccoon Valley Radio Monday. ADM had four players named to the second team squad and a pair of athletes earn honorable mention honors.

Three of ADM’s four second-team selections came on the defensive side of the ball including Nick Bradshaw, Leo Tauke, and Gage Fuller. Bradshaw closed the year as the district leader with 91 total tackles including 78 solo. His 11 tackles for loss were the third most in the group. Tauke finished his high school football career with 38.5 total tackles, 32 solos, two tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery. Fuller came away with a team-best four interceptions in the secondary.

Gavin O’Steen is ADM’s lone second-team offensive selection. He tied for the team lead with 25 receptions for 388 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Cole Knoll and defensive back Brett Duroe are ADM’s honorable mention selections.

The ADM Tigers football team finished the 2017 campaign with a 1-8 overall record. The Tigers lose 17 players to graduation.
