Perry City Council 8-21

The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.

After the City Administrator’s report and mayor and council comments, the Council will consider a resolution to add additional yard waste pick up days. They are expected to add two additional days for yard waste disposal, with the last one on Wednesday, December 6th. They will also consider two resolutions regarding artwork in the City. The first is officially accepting the donation of “The Iowa Girl” sculpture, which was unveiled during Art on the Prairie last weekend. The second is approving a contract for the “In the Shadow of the Rails” project along the Raccoon River Valley Trail.

Other items on the agenda include: approving a pay request for the sally port project; certifying TIF debt to the County Auditor; accepting the 2017 fiscal year financial report; amending the professional service agreement with Bolton and Menk; and approving a professional service agreement with Retail Strategies. Finally, they will set a date for a work session with the City’s department heads.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Clarion Room at City Hall.
